The Jell-O Mold Competition partnered with the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum and Eyebeam Art + Technology Center to take Jell-O on a whirlwind tour through New York City with a Jell-O Mold Workshop for high school students interested in food, design, and technology!
Student teams, comprised of members of Cooper-Hewitt's Design Scholars Program, worked with designers to develop and create molds using traditional techniques and 3-D printing technology to enter into the 2011 Jell-O Mold Competition.
Workshop sessions were generously hosted at Cooper-Hewitt, Eyebeam Art + Technology Center, and Smart Design.

May 4: Mold Prototyping
May 5: Mold Building
May 7: Jell-O Cooking and Recipes
Final student designs were unveiled on Saturday, June 25, 2011!

This workshop was only as good as the students in it--and for that alone we can say it was a big success! Thank you for your energy, enthusiasm, ideas, and willingness to get Jell-O . . . everywhere.
