Entry forms and payment must be received no later than Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Registration fees are $15 or $10 for students. Payment is due at time of entry form submission. Payments can be made via Paypal or by check. If paying using Paypal, please e-mail entry form to The Gowanus Studio Space (jellomolddesign@gmail.com). If paying by check, please print out entry form and mail in with check. All applications and payments must be received no later than June 15, 2011. See entry form for details.

Registration fee is non-refundable.

Students entering must present a valid school I.D. on the day of the competition.

Individuals or teams of no more than four people are eligible to compete.

Creativity is highly encouraged in the competition; however, Jell-O MUST be the central component of each construction. Designers should feel free to experiment with different types of gelatin.

Designers must make their own molds for the contest--either by creating a new mold or recontexualizing pre-existing forms.

Designers do not have to use vacuum form plastic to make their molds, but keep in mind that all entries MUST be safe to eat.

Every entry must provide 5 tasting samples for the judges. Designers may allow spectators to sample entries after the winners have been announced.

Each construction will be photographed for posterity prior to judging.

Entries will be judged in the following categories:

- Creativity
- Aesthetics
- Structural/sculptural ingenuity
- Edibility/culinary appeal
- Best use and showcase of Jell-O

The Gowanus Studio Space does not provide any refrigeration, so please plan accordingly.
